Sea lion voice record

 

Last week we had to choose an animal that we would record saying on slides using mote. Our task was to get some info of the internet and then we had record saying it. I liked learning about sea lions but it was also sad how there are not so many left in the world. Do you like sea lions? 

Steam challenge

 

Hi bloggers in Toroa we learnt a little bit about steam. We had a challenge to make something that will stop a egg from cracking. We put a mini plastic bag on top of a little paper holder that contained the one and only egg we had. Have you dropped an egg.

Robot angles

 

Hi bloggers in Toroa we have been learning about angles. the angles weave learnt are acute, obtuse, right, Straight and reflex angles. Our task was to go onto google drawing and make a robot out of angles. Then we would share it to Mrs Osborn and she would pint it out. After that we had to write down 8 angles. I liked making that robot. do you robots?

 

Hi bloggers in literacy we have been learning about chimpanzees. We learnt that Chimpanzees are being poached for there meat and killing the mother the baby. Then selling the baby's. We also know that they are critically endangered and humans are putting various in chimpanzees for tests. Our task was to build a chimpanzee sanctuary  on minecraft education.  In my minecraft world I but jungle trees, a little forest, bamboo forest, exasize and bird eggs(turtle eggs). It was really interesting to learn about Chimpanzees. The most interesting part is that they hunt monkeys for food. I got all of my inermentation of epic and we watched baby chimp rescue on tvnz on domand. How would you stop them from being endangerd?

Angels on a letter

For numeracy today, we have started to learn about angles.  

We learnt about 3 different angles today - acute (less than 90°), right angle (90°), and obtuse (larger than 90° but smaller than 180°).  We also learnt how to use a protractor to measure angles.  We know that we need to measure an angle from a vertice (a corner where two straight lines meet).

For our create task, we had to measure three different angles on the first letter of our name - can you  figure out if they are acute, right angle or obtuse?
